How a social runs

One event is one session (often a couple of hours). It is not a season.

• All courts play at the same time each round (often about 10 minutes).
• After each round, partners rotate. Round 1 is random; later rounds trend toward similar ladder standings.
• If the numbers don’t fill the courts, someone sits. Sit-outs stay fair over the night.
• The ladder is public on the event link. No login to watch.

That’s the same model whether you call it a social or a tournament.
