Tips and tricks
Small habits that keep a social moving.
- Demo first. Open a demo event on a spare phone so you know what players will see.
- Add a match editor before round 1 if you want to play, not score.
- Guests are fine. Don’t block walk-ins for lack of an account. Link them to a real code later if they sign up.
- Skill level on the roster only seeds round 1. After that, the ladder does the matching.
- Mid-event joiners start at zero. Don’t try to backfill rounds.
- PIN the slideshow when you want the TV to hold Ladder or Matches. Details: PIN screen.
- QR on the ladder — players scan it instead of asking for the URL.
- Wrong court? Swap players rather than deleting a scored round.
- Stuck waiting on one court? No scoring lets you generate the next round.
